The ‘pasang-awa’ culture we (un)knowingly embraced

    I am commemorating the fifth anniversary my writing was published in a national digital media outlet. I remember I was deeply dismayed by the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) results for the Philippines, and I took it to writing to express and vent my frustrations. I took a shot submitting it. To my surprise it was accepted, published, and here we are, five years later reminiscing that opportunity. Should I submit more of the op-ed pieces I write?
